Success often looks glamorous from the outside but Kyle Robinson knows the truth lies in the unseen work. Through his company, Relentless Repetition, Robinson teaches the discipline and mindset that took him from addiction and homelessness to a thriving career in motivational speaking and leadership coaching.
From Athlete to Addict and Back Again
Robinson’s path began on the baseball field, where he spent over six years pursuing a professional career. But an injury changed everything. Prescription opioids became heroin and meth, and soon he was facing arrests, homelessness, and seven overdoses.
Sobriety began on November 24, 2019, a day Robinson calls “the moment everything changed.”
Why Repetition Matters
The concept behind Relentless Repetition is simple yet transformative: success is built on repetitive, sometimes tedious work, not bursts of motivation.
“It’s the boring stuff that builds greatness,” Robinson says. “The work no one sees. The work no one celebrates.”
He now teaches athletes, professionals, and organizations how to adopt this mindset to create long-term change.
Mentorship: The Missing Piece for Many Entrepreneurs
Robinson believes one of the biggest mistakes new entrepreneurs make is avoiding mentorship. For him, connections with leaders like Damon West and Paul Getter became catalysts for growth.
“Surround yourself with people who are further ahead,” he advises. “Ask questions. Learn from their path.”
Managing Stress and Staying Grounded
Robinson admits building a business while holding a full-time job and raising a family is challenging. His solution is simple: fitness.
“Fitness keeps me sober, focused, energized,” he says. “The gym is where I reset.”
Short outdoor breaks and daily workouts form the foundation of his mental and emotional maintenance.
A Vision for Greater Impact
Looking forward, Robinson aims to expand his reach in collegiate and professional sports, high schools, and leadership organizations. His goal is clear: to empower more people with the mindset that saved his life.
“Relentless repetition is how you rebuild,” he says. “It’s how you win.”Connect with Kyle Robinson
