For many women building businesses, professional success often comes with a quiet cost. Endless responsibilities, constant visibility, and the pressure to perform can leave even high achieving entrepreneurs feeling emotionally depleted. Janie Seltzer and Kathy A. Souza believe that many women are succeeding outwardly while quietly feeling disconnected inwardly. Through the Women’s Center for SoulCARE, the two entrepreneurs are creating a Christ-centered space designed to help women strengthen not only their businesses, but also the spiritual foundation beneath them.
Their partnership combines two complementary strengths. Janie serves as the spiritual guide, teacher, and spokesperson, while Kathy brings operational expertise shaped by a successful business background in real estate and entrepreneurship.
Together, they are building a business focused on what they believe is the missing piece between strategy and sustainable success: SoulCARE.
A Business Built on Faith and Friendship
The idea behind the Women’s Center for SoulCARE had existed in Janie’s mind for years.
After returning to school at age fifty-eight to pursue a Master’s Degree in Theology, her final thesis centered around creating a women’s center focused on spiritual care and inner healing. Like many ideas shaped by purpose, however, timing mattered.
That timing arrived unexpectedly.
Years ago, Kathy first entered Janie’s life as an Airbnb guest. Over time, friendship evolved into collaboration, and Kathy encouraged Janie to finally bring the long held vision into reality.
“We recognized that we had different gifts,” Janie explains. “She is the operational side, while I focus on teaching, counseling, and spiritual direction.”
The partnership quickly revealed an important dynamic: their strengths worked best together.
A Turning Point That Expanded the Vision
A pivotal breakthrough came just a little over a year ago when Janie joined Kathy at a networking event she had initially not planned to attend.
Surrounded by driven women entrepreneurs, Janie recognized something deeper beneath the ambition. Many women were building businesses while quietly neglecting themselves.
“I realized this is a harvest field of women who could use strengthening because they are working so hard and not tending to themselves,” she explains.
That moment shifted everything.
Since then, the pair has traveled extensively, networking, sponsoring events and speaking with women entrepreneurs; building communities rooted in trust, faith, and personal growth.
Their mission is simple yet increasingly relevant: nourish the soul so women can flourish in business and every other area of life.
Creating New Pathways for Women
Looking ahead, Janie and Kathy are preparing several new offerings, including elegant faith-based retreats for women and a seven month MASTERmind experience centered around what Janie calls the Sacred Path Adventure. The inaugural mastermind will launch with ten founding members and focus on helping women navigate life and entrepreneurship through Janie’s signature framework: Seven Sacred Signposts.
Alongside those programs, the pair hosts the Sisters of the Heart Collective, a monthly virtual gathering designed to support women seeking deeper Christ-centered spiritual and personal connection. There is also an introductory SoulCARE Masterclass that runs monthly as well.
For Janie and Kathy, entrepreneurship is no longer simply about growth. It is about helping women become whole.
