Today we’d like to introduce you to Freddie Floyd Jr.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Coming from a small town of Pineview, Ga, It’s an honor and my pleasure to sit down with you today. I attended high in Rochelle, Ga. It’s funny how life works as I wasn’t the best student; I, like all young people, have made my share of mistakes, but I thank God those mistakes weren’t permanent. First, I honor my parents, Freddie Sr & Cathy Floyd. They were pretty hard on me growing up, or so I thought. But they laid the foundation for my success today. While most of my friends were out parting late, I had to be home back in the house by midnight. That’s so funny now that I look back. But I have since learned that it kept me out of trouble.

I am where I am today because of a robust solid support system. I can’t stress enough the importance of a support system. Still, you also have to be willing to listen to your elders because although they haven’t been to where you are going in life, the wisdom they provide keeps you from doing the things at a young age that could very easily cause havoc in your life and derail your future. At least the immediate future

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

My biggest issue is patience. The Bible talks about patience as a virtue, and it is. Sometimes I move too fast, get very excited, and I find myself talking to myself, saying slow down; I don’t have to rush for anything. Well, that’s still a work in progress. Another area I need help with is talking to people about my vision; small-minded people will never see your vision; it’s your vision, and no one will be able to relate to what you see for yourself but you and God. Then you have those that try to advise you on your journey in which they have never walked. So to keep you from stressing or getting agitated, keep your mouth closed until you have completed your goal.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

Well, I write books; Mostly for teens and young adults, because the young are our future. I’m not particularly eager to use the word Christian writer, so I would prefer Inspirational writer because it doesn’t make any difference if you are a Christian, Muslim, or atheist or whatever. We all could use little bit of inspiration these days.

I specialize in self-help books. I believe although we come from different back grounds we should be open to looking in the mirror at ourselves with understanding that there is more than one way to get to a destination and be open to a different perspective.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My advice is that you are never too old to become successful; you may have struggles but never stop dreaming; you have to put your dreams to work. If you don’t, they are just dreams.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

That word is tricky. What I mean by that is most people, when they think of success, think of money. But no, what if you were the first in your family to graduate high school? Would you consider success? Or landing your first job and doing well in it, would you think that as success? So like I said, a tricky word. your success depends on your view of success, which can look different on people. Money is a form of success, just not the only form.

What’s next for you?

I am working on getting some speaking gigs now that my books have turned out to be quite successful. My last book, God’s Gift women, hit Amazon’s best sellers list, so that is a start; I have also won my first award for the book. In addition, it is trendy internationally, so I would like to continue riding that wave to speaking events.
