Feminine health is personal, but LaTanya Morris, PA C, does not believe it should be difficult to talk about.
For years, women have navigated intimate health concerns through a mix of medical appointments, store shelves, online advice, and conversations they may feel uncomfortable having in the first place. Morris saw an opportunity to approach the category differently. She wanted education to sit alongside the product itself.
That idea became The V Doctor Natural Feminine Care, the company Morris founded in 2020. Today, she says the business has reached million dollar status, helped thousands of women, attracted hundreds of monthly subscribers, and built an Instagram community of roughly 400,000 followers.
The growth matters. So does the conversation behind it.
A Healthcare Professional Sees a Consumer Need
As a Physician Assistant, Morris came to entrepreneurship with experience in healthcare rather than traditional consumer product development.
Her concern was practical. Women looking for feminine hygiene and wellness solutions can encounter products that do not meet their needs, while prescription options may involve cost, side effects, and a medical visit. Morris believed there was room for natural products accompanied by straightforward information women could understand and use.
She built The V Doctor around that premise.
The company focuses on feminine health and hygiene products while encouraging women to become more informed about intimate wellness. Morris sees the two as closely connected. A product may address an immediate concern, but education can help a woman better understand her body and feel more comfortable asking questions.
“Our mission is to educate women, normalize the conversation, and make feminine wellness a priority, not an afterthought, because every woman deserves to feel heard, informed, confident in her own body,” Morris says.
Making an Uncomfortable Subject Easier to Discuss
There is still cultural discomfort surrounding many aspects of feminine health. That creates an unusual challenge for companies in the category. Customers may have genuine questions but hesitate to ask them publicly.
Morris has responded by speaking directly.
Through The V Doctor’s social media presence, she discusses feminine wellness in accessible language, bringing topics that might otherwise stay behind a closed exam room door into everyday conversation.
That approach has attracted a sizable audience. The brand reports approximately 400,000 Instagram followers, thousands of five star ratings and customer reviews, and hundreds of recurring monthly subscribers.
For Morris, those numbers represent women looking for both products and a more comfortable way to engage with feminine health.
Where Healthcare Meets Entrepreneurship
The V Doctor also reflects a broader shift in consumer wellness. People increasingly expect health related brands to provide context, education, and a recognizable voice rather than simply placing another bottle on a shelf.
Morris occupies an interesting position within that shift. She is a healthcare professional building a consumer company around a subject she believes has been underserved and unnecessarily stigmatized.
The ambition now is considerably larger than when the company started in 2020. Morris wants The V Doctor to become a household brand.
Reaching that point will depend on maintaining the trust that fueled its early growth. Feminine care is an intimate category, and customers are understandably selective about the companies they allow into that part of their lives.
Morris appears comfortable with the responsibility. Her vision is less about making feminine wellness louder for the sake of attention and more about making it ordinary enough that women no longer feel they have to whisper.
For a company built around normalization, that may be the most meaningful measure of growth.
