Working harder can solve a surprising number of problems when building a company.

A founder stays late, takes the extra call, handles the work nobody else can handle, and keeps moving. In the early stages, that willingness to carry more can become part of why the business survives.

Eventually, the same instinct can become difficult to switch off.

Matthew Rabe sees that tension regularly in the kind of business owner Kingdom Training was created to serve. His latest program, Limitless Leader, is a six week, one on one coaching intensive built for overwhelmed entrepreneurs who have reached a point where greater effort is no longer creating proportional progress.

When the Founder Becomes the Bottleneck

Business owners are trained by experience to solve problems externally.

If sales are slow, adjust the offer. If operations are inefficient, improve the process. If the team is struggling, change the management system.

Rabe believes there are moments when the founder needs to be included in that diagnosis.

A leader who struggles to delegate, avoids a difficult decision, or repeatedly falls back into unsustainable working habits can limit the company even when the underlying business strategy is sound.

“Most leaders don’t have a strategy problem. They have an identity problem,” Rabe says. “You can’t out work a self image that’s set to a lower ceiling.”

It is a provocative way to describe a familiar entrepreneurial experience: the methods that helped someone reach one level may not be the methods required to move beyond it.

Six Weeks Focused on the Leader

Rabe launched Limitless Leader on July 11 and 12, 2026, at the Omni Hotel in downtown Chicago during the Message to Money mastermind with Paul Getter.

The program uses his proprietary REWIRE framework to examine the identity patterns Rabe believes influence execution. Participants move through a complete curriculum with weekly individual coaching and structured client tracking over six weeks.

Kingdom Training, based in Wisconsin’s Fox Valley, positions the program around measurable change rather than temporary motivation.

That distinction is central to Rabe’s philosophy. He is less interested in whether a client leaves a session feeling energized than in what happens afterward, when that person returns to the same company, pressures, responsibilities, and decisions.

Growth Can Require a Different Kind of Work

For entrepreneurs, effort can become intertwined with identity. Being the person who pushes through is often a source of pride.

But leadership eventually asks different things of a founder.

There are decisions that cannot be solved by adding another hour to the day. Delegation requires trust. Growth can require giving up control. A larger company may demand that its founder stop being the person who personally solves every problem.

Rabe’s work sits inside that transition.

Limitless Leader asks business owners to examine whether the habits they call discipline are still serving the company they are trying to build.

Sometimes they will be. Sometimes the harder question is whether a once useful pattern has quietly become the ceiling.
